
Reminder: October 13th, 2023 will be a District-wide Early Release Day for all students.
Students at the secondary campus will be released at 11:45 am and students at the elementary campus will be released at 12:45 pm.


Cairo-Durham Middle School will host a Bullying Prevention Theme Week from October 23-27! Here are the theme days:
- Monday, October 23: "Sweat out Bullying" (Wear sweatpants/sweatshirts)
- Tuesday, October 24: "Team Up & Be a Hero Against Bullying" (Wear your favorite team or superhero gear)
- Wednesday, October 25: "Hide from Drugs" (Wear camo)
- Thursday, October 26: "Sock it to Bullying & Drugs/Cairo-Durham Unity Day" (Wear wacky socks and orange clothes)
- Friday, October 27: "Spirit Day" (Wear your Positivity Project/Cairo-Durham gear)


The Cairo-Durham Middle School Halloween Dance and Costume Contest will take place on October 27 from 6-8:30 p.m.
Admission is $10, snacks will be available for purchase, no weapons or masks will be allowed and the event is for Cairo-Durham Middle School students only!

The Girls Modified Volleyball Team lost to Greenville Friday afternoon by a score of 2-0. Their next game is on Tuesday, 10/11, at Coxsackie.

The Girls Modified Soccer Team defeated Taconic Hills under the lights by a score of 6-0. Scoring goals in the game were Abby Wright, Baylee Kastner, Saige Ditmar, and Brianna Dennis. The Girls Modified Volleyball Team lost to Germantown by a score of 2-0.


The Modified Football Team lost to Taconic Hills in a Patroon Conference show down on the turf at Catskill High School on Wednesday night. The next game is on 10/12 at Rensselaer at 4:30.

October is Board of Education Appreciation month! The Cairo-Durham CSD would like to recognize the efforts and dedication of all of our board members for all they do for our District!

The Girls Modified Volleyball Team continued their winning ways yesterday afternoon by defeating Watervliet by a score of 2-1. Their next game is on Thursday at Germantown.

The Modified Football Team lost to CA by a score of 35-6 and their next game is on 10/4 at Catskill at 6:00 PM.

The Cairo-Durham National Honor Society is hosting the annual Fall Festival and Community Yard Sale on September 30th from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Cairo-Durham Elementary School!
Setup will be at 8:30 a.m. Parking spots and 10x10 lawn spots are available. The price is $15 for pre-registration and $20 for at the door. The rain date for this outdoor event is scheduled for October 1st.
