To better understand surface tension, Mrs. Loughran's CDMS writing class was tasked with completing a Claim, Evidence Reasoning (C.E.R.) activity!
Mrs. Loughran combined science and writing to allow the students a tangible experience on which to base their writing. The activity involved placing droplets of water on the face of a penny. Before beginning, the children were asked to make a claim as to how many droplets they thought the penny would hold. From there, the evidence and reasoning followed. Great job, students!
