It was so nice to pop into Media Arts today with Ms. Criswell and Ms. LaPierre. Students were working on their “Stop Motion” films. The students planned out their film prior to arranging their items and recording. Great job to all of our movie makers!

CDMS students had the opportunity to engage in a virtual field trip to the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. as part of the Social Studies Literacy After School program. Students learned about espionage and even had the chance to practice “catching spies.” Students worked on developing claims and supporting them with evidence. Ms. Young and Mrs. Rogers were incredibly proud of their reasoning skills & questions!

Robert Hallock of the Greene County Historical Society visited the seventh graders on Jan. 20 in his 18th century costume. Mr. Hallock told the story of the American Revolution from the perspective of General Nathaniel Greene for whom Greene County is named. He brought some props to share, including a block of tea similar to what was thrown overboard at the Boston Tea Party and hard tack.
