On March 14, 2024, the Cairo-Durham High School Classes are hosting an 'Elementary Teacher vs. Middle/High School Teacher' basketball game as a fundraiser! Tickets for entrance to the game will be sold, as well as concessions. The CDTA will sell 50/50 tickets, with proceeds toward the CDTA Scholarship fund. The Booster Club will be selling school merchandise. Each high school class has been assigned a list of concession items to avoid duplicates. The money raised from the concession stand will offset the cost of class activities such as pep rallies, prom, the senior trip and more. Please see the attachment for what each class is responsible for. The Cairo-Durham Middle School Student Council is sponsoring a "Glow Dance" on Friday, March 22 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Cairo-Durham Middle School! Pre-sale tickets are available during announcements the week of March 18-21 for $8, and tickets will be available for $10 at the door. Concessions will be available for purchase at the dance. Students are encouraged to wear neon, glow sticks, or anything that shows up under the black lights! Can't wait to see you there!

Pre-K and Kindergarten Orientation for the 2024-25 school year at Cairo-Durham Elementary School will take place on the following dates: - Kindergarten: March 19, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Student must be turning 5-years old on or before Dec. 1, 2024.) - Pre-K: March 26, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. (Student must be turning 4-years-old on or before Dec. 1, 2024.) Registration packets available at Orientation, in the Cairo-Durham Elementary School Main Office and on the District website!

Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and 5th Grade Families: Graduation photo day for these three grade levels at Cairo-Durham Elementary School will be on Tuesday, March 19! Families can register on ismilestudios.com in advance to get notifications of when pictures are ready!

​"Penny Wars" are here at Cairo-Durham Middle School from March 4 to March 14! The three grade levels will compete to see which class can collect the most points through accumulating pennies. Beware, as there will be opportunities to sabotage the other classes! Collection buckets for each grade will be found outside of classrooms and point scales will be posted. See the Cairo-Durham Middle School bulletin board for more information on where to find your bucket and points totals. ​ The class that collects the most points wins a Stewart’s Ice Cream party! Best of luck!

The Cairo-Durham High School Class of 2026 is selling Cinnabon to raise funds for our prom next year! Please fill out the Google Form from the QR code in the poster and drop off money to a class officer, Mr. Yaple, or Mr. Hitchen! The cut-off date for orders is March 8, 2024 with estimated delivery on March 21, 2024.

The Cairo-Durham Central School District would like to send a special shoutout and congratulations to Cairo-Durham High School juniors Dezaray Riley and Anthony Panicola and senior Elexzandreah Demaris for having their individual artwork selected to be showcased at the 25th Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition from March 12 to April 13, 2024 at Russell Sage College in Albany, sponsored by the Olpaka Gallery! The students' displays will be available to be viewed Tuesday-Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays.
