
The Snow Ball dance at CDMS is this Friday, Feb. 10! Tickets at the door are $8 per student and the dance is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets in advance are still on sale for $5 in the morning with Ms. Eldred!


The Boys Modified Volleyball Team defeated Greenville 3-0 on Monday night in the MS Gym, the Boys Modified Basketball Team lost to Catskill 42-13, and the Girls Modified Basketball Team lost to Catskill as well by a score of 30-26.

The Girls Modified Basketball Team lost to Coxsackie Athens last night by a score of 23-8 and the Boys Modified Basketball Team also lost to CA by a score of 36-8.

Class of 2027: 8th Grade Transition Night is tomorrow night at 6 p.m.! We look forward to seeing students and their parents/guardians as we discuss the course selection process for 2023-2024, reviewing the process of transition from 8th to 9th grade, tips on being successful in High School and overview graduation/testing requirements.

Nominees must have contributed to the improvement of Cairo-Durham CSD with extensive service through: academics, athletics, coaching, teaching, administration, employment, volunteerism and/or community service.
Nominees can be past or present staff members, school administrators, Board of Education members, alumni and community members or organizations. (Please note that a former student nominee must be out of school for at least 10 years to be considered for induction into the Mustang Pride Hall of Fame.)
Some examples of extensive service/support include (but are not limited to):
Academics (e.g., teaching, tutoring).
Involvement in school athletics (e.g., coaches, officials, volunteers).
Mentoring.
Volunteer work/community service.
Community relations.

Questar III and HVCC STEM High School is now accepting applications from active 8th grade students only for their P-TECH and Early College High School Programs (ECHS). The programs will prepare students for in-demand jobs in STEM careers, offering pathways in Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Environmental Science and Health Sciences. It was so nice to pop into Media Arts today with Ms. Criswell and Ms. LaPierre. Students were working on their “Stop Motion” films. The students planned out their film prior to arranging their items and recording. Great job to all of our movie makers!





CDMS students had the opportunity to engage in a virtual field trip to the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C. as part of the Social Studies Literacy After School program.
Students learned about espionage and even had the chance to practice “catching spies.” Students worked on developing claims and supporting them with evidence. Ms. Young and Mrs. Rogers were incredibly proud of their reasoning skills & questions!
