The Maple Hill Varsity Golf team defeated Cairo-Durham Varsity by a score of 8.5 to 3.5 at the Island Green yesterday afternoon. For Cairo-Durham, Brendan Feeney shot a sectional qualifying score. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team lost to Greenville by scores of 7-1 and 8-0. Jessica Baeckmann won the lone game for the Mustangs.

At back-to-back varsity soccer games at Catskill on Monday night the Boys Varsity Soccer Team lost in an injured plagued game 8-0 and the Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Catskill 4-3 in double overtime. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Issabella Zelinsky, Mackenzie Sherburne, and Abby Brandow.

Approved at last Thursday's Board of Education meeting, October 13th, 2023 will be a District-wide Early Release Day for all students. Students at the secondary campus will be released at 11:45 am and students at the elementary campus will be released at 12:45 pm. On Saturday afternoon the Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Tamarac by a score of 4-1. Zander Santarelli scored all 4 goals for the Mustangs.

At Catskill High School last night, the Cairo-Durham/Catskill Varsity Football Team defeated Hudson under the Friday Night Lights by a score of 21-12. On Homecoming Night at Cairo-Durham the Girls Varsity Soccer Team's offense exploded for 10 goals under the lights. Scoring goals in the game were Mackenzie Sherburne (3), Aria McCabe (3), Gabby Rae, Abby Brandow, Issabella Zelinsky, and Nia DeRose. In other sports action the Girls JV Volleyball Team lost to Rensselaer 2-0, the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost in a close game 3-2, the Girls Varsity Tennis Team lost 4-0 and then tied 2-2, and the Varsity Golf team defeated Catskill by a score of 12-0.

During Thursday's Varsity Soccer Game vs CA the Mustangs lost a close game in overtime by a score of 4-3. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Zander Santarelli and Alex Gouza. The Girls Varsity Team lost 5-3 to CA, the Boys JV Soccer Team also lost to CA by a score of 4-0, the Girls JV Volleyball Team lost by a score of 3-2, and the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost by a score of 3-0.

Yesterday afternoon, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team lost to Greenville by a score of 8-0 and the Varsity Golf Team lost to Greenville by a score of 8.5 - 3.5. At the 7:00 game the Boys Varsity Soccer Team also lost to Greenville under the lights by a score of 4-1. The Girls JV Volleyball Team defeated Catskill by a score of 2-0 and the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost 3-0.
