Students in elementary use their tablets to make animations with an app.
The students in grade 2 Thompson/Lopez have been working on writing organized paragraphs that include topic sentences, detail sentences, and closing sentences. During instruction, paragraphs were compared to ice cream sundaes. The topic sentence was the cherry, the details were the ice cream and the closing sentence was the cup or cone. These comparisons were fun and motivating reminders for all students! Students were excited to make their sundaes in order to reinforce the lessons and celebrate their successes! Mr. Stein observed one of the writing classes, and students created a special sundae just for him!!! Great job second graders!
