Last week, the Student Council celebrated Read Across America Week in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday! 🎉
Last Monday, CDES kicked things off with Mystery Readers! Faculty and staff signed up to surprise classrooms with a special read-aloud. Teachers selected a time for a guest reader to visit, and students loved the excitement of a mystery visitor sharing a story!

First graders were learning about moose. Tami Wood, the special education teacher assistant, offered to provide each class with a real-life model of how big a moose antler is compared to the local deer that many of our students know.

Here are more photos taken during Read Across America Week from Tracy MacGiffert's Universal Pre-K classes!
