
The Cairo-Durham Middle School Whole Group Mentoring event that took place last week consisted of creating winter ornaments, enjoying hot chocolate and snacks, and making a mug gift with hot chocolate and dipped spoons in melted chocolate to take home for someone in their families!

The Boys and Girls Modified Basketball Teams started their seasons yesterday afternoon at Coxsackie-Athens. The boys lost by a score of 44-20 and the girls lost by a score of 21-19. Their next game is on Monday, 12/18, versus Catskill.

Cairo-Durham Central School District Launches “Mustang Monthly Alumni Spotlight”
CAIRO, NY – The Cairo-Durham Central School District is proud to announce the launch of the “Mustang Monthly Alumni Spotlight”.
In an effort to bridge the community and the Cairo-Durham Central School District, this provides an opportunity for community members to nominate members of the Cairo-Durham Class of 2018 or prior who have made an impact in the community, embrace Cairo-Durham pride and serve as role models to future generations of Mustangs to be recognized on the District’s platforms.
“Every day, Cairo-Durham alumni are making a difference in a variety of ways. This platform will allow the District to highlight the efforts, drive and Mustang pride possessed by those who go above and beyond,” said Cairo-Durham Central School District Superintendent Michael Wetherbee.

CAIRO, NY – The Cairo-Durham Central School District is excited to announce its Middle School Principal’s Honor Roll, High Honor Roll and Honor Roll members for Quarter 1 of the 2023-24 school year.
To qualify for Principal’s Honor Roll, students must record a grade point average of 95 or higher throughout the quarter. The 7th Grade students participated in a grade-level gallery walk in Mrs.Trotti's Social Studies Class. The students were tasked with pretending to be colonists to get the word out about the harmful taxes in the colonies after the French and Indian War.
The students developed creative ways to an assigned Act including the phrase ,"No Taxation without Representation." The students were then able to leave comment cards to their fellow peers about all the positive efforts and one piece of information they learned from the poster.
