August 29, 2023 Dear Cairo-Durham CSD Staff and Families, I am writing to you today to inform you that effective September 11, 2023, the Cairo-Durham CSD’s Wellness Center located at Cairo-Durham Middle and High School will be reopened. The Wellness Center was temporarily closed this summer due to Capital Project work taking place in the building. As a reminder, the Wellness Center is open to district adults, faculty and staff and is open Monday through Thursday from 5:30 a.m. - 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. The Wellness Center is closed on legal holidays, school vacation days, select special events and any school maintenance shutdowns. In order to secure a membership and access the Wellness Center, interested individuals must complete a Wellness Center Participant Information Form and a Physician's Medical Clearance Form, then submit the forms to the district office. Returning members of the Wellness Center must complete a new Participant Information Form. All forms can be found online at https://www.cairodurham.org/page/wellness-center. Modified Football practice begins on Thursday, 8/24, at Catskill High School at 5:00 on the Turf Field. All 7th, 8th, and 9th graders can tryout for the Modified Football Team.

Mustangs shine at Youth Fair! Several Cairo-Durham CSD students won prizes at last week's Youth Fair in Cairo! - Cole Partridge (CDHS): Showed several cows and won Reserve Grand Champion, Reserve Best of Show, among other awards. - Autumn Jones (CDES): Showed rabbits and won Best in Breed. Bernie Zucker (CDES): Won Best of Show for his poster and received an invitation to submit it to the New York State Fair. Zippie Zucker (CDES): Showed chickens and won Champion Production Bird. Ryan Young (CDMS): Showed rabbits, chickens, goats, cow, and had non-livestock exhibits. His tree binder was selected for the NY State Fair, his rabbit was awarded second place Best Opposite. Congratulations, students!
