Dear Cairo-Durham Families, Staff, and Community Members, Recognizing our wonderful alumni, community members, staff, and students is a high priority for the District, which is why the “Mustang Monthly Alumni Spotlight” was originally developed. However, due to low monthly nominations, the District has decided to select and announce a spotlight recipient once a quarter going forward. We are extremely proud of our alumni, and we need your help identifying individuals to highlight. Nominations are now open for the Spring 2025 Mustang Alumni Spotlight. Click here: (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd2q9nfXwRYv7cSUw_bdouBjcdspek0B2VyNasVZr-LvsYNdg/viewform?usp=sf_link) to nominate a Cairo-Durham CSD alum. Submissions are due by Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. Thank you, The Cairo-Durham Central School District

Last week's Grade 2 Thompson / Lopez Star of the Week was Amelia! The Grade 3 Whitbeck / Lopez Star of the Week was Hussain! Amelia participated in all activities, completed her work, waited her turn patiently, and was kind to everyone all week! Amelia worked extremely hard in math and writing! She is doing a great job adding and subtracting with regrouping! Amelia also read a book to her entire class and shared her cheerleading skills with them! Way to go, Amelia! Hussain demonstrated respect, responsibility and kindness all week. He also participated in all activities, completed his work, waited his turn patiently, and made safe choices. Hussain has worked extremely hard on memorizing his multiplication facts and is doing great restating, answering and citing during ELA. Congratulations, Amelia and Hussain! Dear Cairo-Durham CSD Families, As you know, school is currently closed for Winter Break (Feb. 17- 21). The District has been made aware of a glitch in our absence tracking system that is sending “your student is absent today” robocalls to parents of high school students. This is simply a glitch and no action is needed from you. If you get a communication along those lines, please disregard it. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday (Feb. 24). Sincerely, Cairo-Durham CSD
