Dear CDE Families,
Last month, we announced that Mrs. Danielle Czech was appointed as the new middle school principal effective July 1, 2022.
We are pleased to share that our own Ms. Rachel Pollard will fill the elementary assistant principal position after being appointed by the Board of Education on July 7, 2022. Some of you may be familiar with Ms. Pollard, who has been a respected teacher and leader at CDE for the last five years. She has taught kindergarten and fifth grade, and she is currently working toward her School Building and School District Leadership certification through SUNY New Paltz. Ms. Pollard has been a grade level leader for two years, as well as part of the school leadership team, a member of the PBIS committee, and a member of the discipline committee. She is dedicated to supporting staff, our students and our families, and she has a strong vision for parent engagement and communication.
We are looking forward to having Ms. Pollard join the administrative team and being an integral part of the work to keep moving the building and district goals forward. As always, your child’s success and well-being will remain top priorities during this transition.
