We are excited to announce that the following Cairo-Durham High School students' artwork was selected for exhibit at the 2026 Capital Region Media Arts Festival: Ahnalyhn Hinkein, Emily Moon, Carter Sarles, Maggie Felton, Markus Holloway, Meaghan Hammond, Alexis Hammond, Olivia Bueno, Savana Krom, Amanda Ramos-Rivera, and Karlie Sickler.
This year, the Capital Region Media Arts Festival took place at Albany High School on Thursday, April 23 and featured the work of students from 16 Capital Region school districts. The artwork was selected by a panel of Capital Region art educators and then adjudicated for finalists by local art professionals.
Congratulations to Ahnalyhn Hinkein, whose piece "Once Upon a Time" won third place in the Special Processes or Techniques category.
Congratulations also to Meaghan Hammond (with assistance from light painter Alexis Hammond) whose piece "Ecstatic Ensemble" won third place in the Abstraction category.
