We are happy to announce the 2026 Capital Region Students and Teachers Who Make a Difference Cairo-Durham recipients: Kingston Czajkowski and Sarah Clermont!
The student is selected by their school based on academic achievement, community service, leadership, and other unique accomplishments. Each nominated student then selects a teacher who has had a significant influence on their education.
Kingston Czajkowski is the Valedictorian for the Cairo-Durham Class of 2026. He has been part of many of the school's musical ensembles, including Marching Band, Jazz, Band, and Chamber Chorus. He will be attending the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in the fall to pursue a major in Music Performance.
Sarah Clermont is a beloved music teacher at the Cairo-Durham Middle/High School and was chosen by Kingston in recognition of her impact on his educational journey.
