On Tuesday the Boys Varsity Soccer Team battled Maple Hill to a 2-2 tie in double overtime. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Zander Santarelli and Brendan Feeney. Girls Varsity Tennis lost 4-2, the Girls Varsity Soccer Team lost 11-0, and the Boys JV Soccer Team lost 5-0 to Maple Hill yesterday afternoon. The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost to Germantown 3-1 and their Senior Game is today in the Middle School Gym at 5:00.

At yesterday's Girls Varsity Soccer Game the girls defeated Watervliet by a score of 10-1. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Mackenzie Sherburne (4), Aria McCabe (3), Abby Brandow (2), and Nia DeRose. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team tied Chatham yesterday 3-3, The Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost 3-2 to Albany Leadership, and the Boys JV Soccer Team lost to Greenville 3-2.

In sports action on Thursday the Varsity Golf Team lost to Greenville by a score of 8.5 - 3.5, the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team lost 3-0, and the Girls JV Volleyball Team lost 2-0. The Boys JV Soccer Team tied BKW 0-0 in double overtime. Jacob Young played a tremendous game in the goal with 30 plus saves on the day.

On Senior Night for the Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer Teams there were lots of tears and cheers for our teams on Wednesday night. The Cairo-Durham Boys Varsity Soccer Team defeated Berlin/New Lebanon on Wednesday night by a score of 6-0. Andrew Searing-Burke scored 3 goals, Chase Kelly, Zander Santarelli, and Kennedy Bleau all added goals of their own. The Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated the Hudson Bluehawks by a score of 5-0. Mackenzie Sherbourne, Issabella Zelinsky, Abigail Brandow, and Gabrielle Rae (2) scored goals for the Mustangs and goalkeeper Kaitlyn Russell had 5 saves.

The Maple Hill Varsity Golf team defeated Cairo-Durham Varsity by a score of 8.5 to 3.5 at the Island Green yesterday afternoon. For Cairo-Durham, Brendan Feeney shot a sectional qualifying score. The Girls Varsity Tennis Team lost to Greenville by scores of 7-1 and 8-0. Jessica Baeckmann won the lone game for the Mustangs.

At back-to-back varsity soccer games at Catskill on Monday night the Boys Varsity Soccer Team lost in an injured plagued game 8-0 and the Girls Varsity Soccer Team defeated Catskill 4-3 in double overtime. Scoring goals for the Mustangs were Issabella Zelinsky, Mackenzie Sherburne, and Abby Brandow.

Approved at last Thursday's Board of Education meeting, October 13th, 2023 will be a District-wide Early Release Day for all students.
