Cairo-Durham High School

Congratulations to Jayden Devoe chosen as the Cairo-Durham High School Student of the month for October 2021! Jayden is pictured here with his science teacher, Mr. Higgins, whom he greatly admires. As a freshman, Jayden is off to a wonderful start at Cairo-Durham.  He is respectful and kind, diligent and responsible.  His teachers say that he completes his work 110%!  When another student is in need of help, Jayden is always right there, supportive and willing to provide the necessary aid.  He is collaborative in group work, actively and positively responds to others both socially and academically.  He is an excellent role-model. Jayden works hard to maintain his good grades and has a desire to fulfill all of his course requirements thoroughly and on time.  He is focused and shows his appreciation to our staff by consistently listening and participating during his classes.  Outside of school, Jayden has been a member of the CCD football team; he also enjoys music and loves to sing.  He believes that his friends see him as a “good guy,” and know him to be a fun person to hang out with.  Although he has only just begun high school, Jayden already has plans to work hard while he’s here and then attend college after graduation.  He is very ambitious and hopes to start his own business one day!  We are thrilled to have Jayden here at Cairo-Durham; he is an awesome example to
