Every year, Mr. Hull delivers containers with 2-3 caterpillars and milkweed to all of the elementary school's Pre-K through second-grade classrooms. He provides the class with the opportunity to observe the caterpillars form into their chrysalis to emerge as beautiful Monarch Butterflies, which are then released.

As a reminder, there is no school today, October 14, due to the holiday.

On Thursday, October 17, the Cairo-Durham middle and high schools will dismiss at 11:45 am. Buses will still transport high school students to Questar programs at their normally scheduled times.
Deputy Espel visited Mrs. Kellegher's third-grade classroom to teach the students about Halloween safety. The kids were engaged and eager to learn how to stay safe while trick-or-treating.
