Homeowners can determine their projected school district property tax bills for the 2008-09 school year with the districtâ€™s new tax calculator.
The calculator determines what a propertyâ€™s projected tax bill will be if the districtâ€™s 2008-09 budget proposal is approved by voters on May 20. The calculator works for all of the districtâ€™s eight communities: Cairo, Durham, Athens, Catskill, Conesville, Coxsackie, Greenville and Rensselaerville.

Thank you to the family who anonymously donated $10,000 towards a new grand piano for the MS/HS Auditorium. The music department has just started the fund to replace the existing piano, which has seen a few hundred concerts.

Eileen Quinn is the winner of the Animal Protective Foundation and Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's "Be Kind to Animals" poster and essay contest. Her essay was chosen from over a thousand entries from all over upstate New York. She will be recognized at Schenectady County Community College on Monday, May 5th.
