Mrs. Berube's third grade class loves doing science experiments on Wonder Wednesdays!
This week they experienced colorful chemistry when they made “elephant’s toothpaste” by combining hydrogen peroxide, dish soap and yeast. The third-graders predicted what might happen when the solution was mixed and learned why the chemical reaction happened.
Elephant’s toothpaste is named for the tube-like shape created when the foamy substance expands out of the container.
