March 25, 2020
In order to keep in touch with students while schools are closed, Principal Schips started a Google Classroom called "The Principal's Office" and invited all CDMS students to join.
On March 25, he announced a school-wide short story contest! All CDMS students are invited and encouraged to participate in this optional contest.
See contest details from Mr. Schips' Google Classroom below. Entries are due by Thursday, April 9. Electronic and paper submissions will be accepted (if submitting a paper entry, please submit it on Tuesday, April 7 when dropping off schoolwork packets).
I'm looking for something good to read, and I'm hoping you can help. If you like to write, I'm inviting everyone to participate in a CDMS Short Story Writing Contest. Here's how it will work:
- You have until next Friday (April 7) to submit a story that you have written. It can be as long or as short as you want. You can write one paragraph, one page, five pages, or as many as you want. It's totally up to you!
- The faculty judges will select three stories from the submissions to share with everyone on here (we won't be sharing the names of the authors).
- On here, we'll pick the best one, and that person will be crowned CDMS Short Story Champion.
- The winner will receive two brand new books of their choice (must be parent-approved; will ship from Amazon).
This assignment is optional. However, I hope to see many of you participate!
If you have any questions about the assignment, please post them here (Google Classroom) or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
