Residents Pass 2018-2019 School Budget

Cairo-Durham Central School District voters approved the District's $31,147,145 budget for the 2018-19 school year with 308 in favor and 131 opposed. Additionally, voters approved the bus proposition to allow the District to purchase seven (7) school buses by 311 yes votes to 128 no votes. Residents also voted to add an extra 10% in state building aid to a board-approved Energy Performance Contract (EPC) project at the District (315 in favor, 123 opposed). The proposition authorizing the District to establish a Capital Reserve fund was also approved (313 in favor, 127 opposed).

In the Board of Education election, incumbents John Amoroso and Elizabeth were re-elected to terms through 2020. Brian Colletti received 48 write-in votes for the third board seat. Thank you to everyone who voted!
