The Cairo-Durham Central School District’s school tax bills, which are usually mailed in late August, will be mailed to District residents within the first two weeks of September. The delay in this year’s tax bills has affected numerous school districts in the area. Therefore, we are providing an extension to the payment period.
The new tax collection period runs until Friday, October 12, 2018, without payment of a penalty. This extension to the non-penalty period applies to the 2018-2019 year only. After October 12, 2018, an interest charge of 2% will be applied. No tax payments will be accepted or processed by the school tax collector postmarked after October 31, 2018.
Find out how to pay your taxes on our Tax Information webpage. You can make your tax payment online, in person, or by mail.
Taxpayer questions regarding town equalization rates and individual property assessments should be addressed directly to your town assessor. Contact information for each town assessor’s office is listed at the bottom of our Tax Information webpage.
