Two seniors in the Career Research Seminar at CDHS participated in internship activities this spring.
Megan Byrne, who wants to major in Early Childhood Education, got firsthand experience when she worked with Cairo-Durham’s pre-kindergarten program under the supervision of Mrs. MacGiffert.
Jolie Poulsen spent time shadowing at Kaaterskill Associates, an engineering firm on Main Street in Cairo. Jolie learned about various business aspects such as billing, contract development, document creation, data entry and database development.
Career Research Seminar at CDHS is taught by Business teacher, Mrs. Maassmann. The course allows students to explore various careers and learn important skills such as resumé writing and job interview skills.
