Cairo-Durham Principal Involved in Accident, Going to be Okay

May 3, 2016 – Cairo-Durham High School Principal Nick Fitzgerald was involved in a car accident near the entrance of the middle/high school campus this morning. He was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. At this time, he is in the hospital, but he is alert and going to be okay.

“We wish Mr. Fitzgerald a speedy recovery. He is a well-liked and respected member of our school community,” said Cairo-Durham CSD Superintendent Anthony Taibi.

While Mr. Fitzgerald is recovering, Assistant Principal Joseph Witazek is available to support students and staff.
