ABOUT THE SHOW
With music and lyrics written by Lin Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton”), “In the Heights” tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood – a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams, and pressures.
The story focuses on the lives of Usnavi De La Vega (played by Kyan Bujak Harrington), who owns the corner bodega, the Rosario Family (Alexis Cummings, Ashton DiDomenico, and Gianna Colon), who own Rosario's Car Service, and their number one employee Benny (Jerome Byrne), and Vanessa (Nicole Flaherty), who works at Daniela's Hair Salon.
Come see their stories unfold and their lives intertwine in a night of hip-hop, pop, and Latin music; and support the 70+ students involved in producing “In the Heights!”
