2nd Annual Mustang Mayhem

Three students hold kickballs during Spirit Week

On Friday May 13, 2016 Cairo-Durham High School wrapped up Spirit Week with its 2nd Annual Mustang Mayhem, sponsored by the CDHS Student Council. The goals of Mustang Mayhem are to build school spirit, develop community and provide opportunities for student leadership in planning and implementing the event.

An assembly kicked off the event featuring student performances by: Alexandra DelVecchio, Mia Millett & Casey Ramos, Laurel Clark & Dylan Curran, and Erin & Katie Feeney. Spirit Week Winners were also recognized for their creativity in keeping with the daily themes and showing Cairo-Durham pride. In addition, CDHS faculty and staff participated in a competition with the student body as voters - congratulations to the ELA department for their "If Your ELA Teachers..." Old School rap video!

Immediately following the assembly, students were treated with activities and refreshments (served by faculty and staff). Student Council sponsored an inflatable obstacle course while the U.S. Army, AirForce and National Guard each set up a hands-on activity booth.

A special thanks to Hannaford and Stewart's Shops for donating refreshments for the event. Thank you to all who contributed to the event and participated!
