Greene County Dept. of the Aging is sponsoring a Budget Presentation that will take place on Tuesday, May 14th from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the Acra Community Center, located on Old Route 23 in Cairo.
Mary Fassett, Superintendent of Schools of the Cairo-Durham Central School District, has announced that she will be hosting informal “Koffee Klatch” meetings at the Cairo Public Library. The first two meetings are scheduled for Monday, May 13th and Monday, May 20th from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
The Cairo Durham School District recognizes that there are many different perspectives regarding standardized and statewide testing programs and it appreciates your input and concern. The District also applauds your interest and the attention to your child(ren)’s education. While we understand that as parents, you may prefer your child’s skills and abilities be evaluated through different means than a state-wide testing program, the District does not have the ability to grant any request to exclude any student from the exams.
Superintendent Fassett's Stakeholder meeting that was scheduled for tonight, April 8th has been rescheduled for next Monday, April 15th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the MS Cafeteria.
Superintendent Fassett is having a Public Information Workshop on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the MS/HS Complex regarding Grade Level Realignment.
This is to inform you that over the past week your child has been provided an opportunity to participate in a letter writing campaign to introduce themselves to our Governor, the Honorable Andrew Cuomo.
The idea for this campaign was brought forward as a suggestion by a caring and concerned member of our school community that also has children attending our school. The district embraced the concept.
