Congratulations to Katelynn Ross, chosen as the Cairo-Durham High School Student of the Month for September 2020! As we begin this very unique school year, it is a pleasure to be able to recognize Katelynn in this way. Not only has she worked diligently so far this year, but she has been an excellent example of responsibility and character for every one of her high school years. Katelynn has worked hard, enabling her to maintain a yearly average of 95% or above, as well as having been awarded numerous exemplary performance certificates, academic pins, and a CD letter. In addition to these honors, Katelynn was invited and joined our CD National Honor Society while in her junior year. She has further aided our student body as a member of our CD Sources of Strength, National Art Honors Society, Student Council, and the Gay Straight Alliance. When not working on academics and/or extracurricular school activities, Katelynn can be found drawing, writing, and/or playing video games! She can also be found working at our local Dunkin Donuts, her first official job! Prior to that, Katelynn assisted her mom at the Glens Falls resort, something that she thoroughly enjoyed. All in all, Katelynn is a complete joy. Her work ethic coupled with her amazingly mature, thoughtful, and respectful personality are assets that have benefited each one of us. Katelynn will be a June 2021 graduate of CD and she will be greatly missed by both teachers, staff, and students. We wish her well and are confident that she will continue to be successful in all that she does. Congratulations Katelynn!
