Katie Feeney is an honors graduate ranked fifth in the Cairo-Durham High School Class of 2018. During her four years of high school, Katie participated in several sports including track and softball, and she finished her senior year by being named soccer Patroon Champions and receiving a place on the first team All Stars. Katie participated in numerous musical ensembles including band, chorus, jazz band, women’s choir, marching band, NYSSMA, All County and Area All State Chorus. She enjoys acting and was lucky enough to land the lead role in this year’s production of Guys and Dolls. She also served as her class president, chief editor of the 2018 Archive, member of the National Honor Society, Mock Trial, Principal Panel and Sources of Strength. In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her amazing family and friends, working as a waitress at a local resort and enjoying the outdoors. Throughout high school, Katie has received numerous academic awards including the RIT and Russell Sage leadership scholarships. In the fall, Katie plans to attend Iona College to study Speech Language Pathology/Audiology. In the future, Katie hopes to study abroad and eventually work in a hospital with stroke victims helping them regain their ability to communicate.
