Colleen Selner is the salutatorian for the Cairo-Durham High School graduating class of 2018. During the four years of high school, Colleen was Vice President of the National Honor Society, a member of the Track and Field team, Yearbook Club, the Marching Band, Soccer, All-County Band, Drama Club, and Interact Club. She also participated in community activities such as nursing home visits, serving at senior citizen dinners, volunteering at DARE day, and more. She received recognition in the area of science by being awarded the Outstanding Academic Achievement or Exemplary Performance awards all four years. Colleen also received these awards each year in English, Mathematics, Social Studies and/or Art. As a junior, she was granted the Gellert-Cornell Admissions Invitation and the Clarkson University High School Leadership Award. In her spare time, Colleen enjoys doing outdoor activities, photography, and spending time with family and friends. In the fall, Colleen plans to attend Marist College to major in biomedical studies. In the future, she would like to attend graduate school to become a Physician Assistant.
