Positive Case in District (1/19)
Today the District was informed that a bus driver tested positive for COVID-19. After completing the contact tracing, it was determined that there is no impact on the in-person learning environment and classes may continue as planned.
Positive Cases & Shift to Remote Learning for PK-5 (Tues. 1/19)
The District was notified of two elementary students who tested positive for COVID-19. Due to staff shortages resulting from precautionary quarantines, Pre-K through Grade 5 must pivot to remote instruction starting on Tuesday, January 19th through the end of the week (Monday is a holiday).
P2 Positive Referrals for Kindness
Congratulations to the CDE students who received positive referrals in December for displaying the P2 character traits of kindness, learning how words and actions affect others, and self-control.

The District was notified today that a substitute teacher at Cairo-Durham Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19.

Third-graders studied ecosystems and raised money to symbolically adopt two animals to help protect the species and habitats.

CDCSD will likely be required to begin testing 20% of in-person students and staff for COVID-19 in the near future as the positivity rate in Greene County continues to rise. Parents/guardians are encouraged to review this FAQ and contact the school with any questions.
