CD High School Student of the Month - December 2020

Congratulations to Dylan Bermel, chosen as the Cairo-Durham High School Student of the Month for December 2020! Dylan is pictured with Mrs. Carlson. Dylan is a freshman and though he is new to the building he has already made quite an impression on his classmates and teachers. Below are some insightful quotes from several of his teachers:

“Dylan always comes to class ready to learn. My favorite thing that Dylan does is send me a 'GoGuardian' chat at the beginning of every class to say hello and ask how my day is going.” - Mrs. Goodwin

“Dylan is very friendly and always says hello to the students as they log on to the Google Meet. He works very hard to complete assignments and usually ends up with free time at the end of class because he has completed the tasks early.” - Ms. Edwards

“Dylan has worked very hard to get to this point. He has grown both personally and academically throughout the course of the year. And I could not complete my comments without mention of his sly (but always school appropriate) sense of humor that never fails to bring a chuckle to all of us teachers in the classroom.” - Ms. Dougherty

“Dylan is incredibly kind. He’s come so far since the beginning of the year and totally earned the recognition for all his hard work and effort.” - Mrs. O’Flynn

“Dylan is always attentive and has contributions to make to each class. He also keeps me up to date on what he's learning about outside the classroom. After a weekend or break, Dylan often shows me photos of something he found or built outside. It's great to have a student who is so committed to exploring the world in class!” - Mr. Munro
