Per an executive order issued by Governor Cuomo, school budget votes and elections have been postponed until further notice.
Given the current COVID-19 situation and Governor Cuomo’s temporary suspension of Article 7 of the Public Officers Law (“Open Meetings Law”), school board meetings can be made accessible online in an effort to ensure the public can still “attend” while maintaining social distancing practices.
As such, Cairo-Durham CSD school board meetings held during this time will be done so using video conferencing software. Public access instructions will be posted on our website prior to the meetings. These meetings will also be recorded and posted here.

At its meeting on March 12, 2020, the Cairo-Durham Board of Education adopted a resolution to present a proposition to voters regarding the former Durham Elementary School building. Click here for a summary of the proposition, which will be put before district voters on June 9.

The Board of Education will hold a brief special meeting on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 5:30 PM. The meeting will be held at the District Office.
