High School Curriculum Fair March 6

The Cairo-Durham High School Curriculum Fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 6th from 4-7 pm in the High School Gymnasium. Teachers and counselors will be on hand to talk about course offerings as well as answer any questions in order to help students plan for the 2014-2015 school year. Students will be able to initiate or continue the course selection process as they build their schedule for the upcoming school year.

BOE Draft Agenda for 2-27-14

Attached is the Draft Agenda for the Board of Education public hearing and meeting on Thursday, February 27 in the MS Cafeteria.

The Board will hold a Public Hearing on February 27th at 6:30pm in the MS Cafeteria on the Alternative Veterans Exemption.

The Board of Education Regular Meeting is scheduled for February 27th at 7:00pm in the MS Cafeteria.

Wrestling Season 2013-2014 Results

The Cairo-Durham Wrestling Team concluded their successful 2013-2014 season with a tie for 19th place out of 39 teams competing in Division 2 of the Section 2 State Qualifiers wrestling tournament held at the Glens Falls Civic Center on Saturday & Sunday. The Mustangs 33 points were the highest out of the Patroon Conference teams that competed.

Say Yes To The Prom Dress

Community Action of Greene County is holding its annual "Say Yes to The Prom Dress Event" . Through this non-funded donation  only program, Greene County students whom are at an economic disadvantage are provided with prom wear and hopefully some confidence at no cost. More information can be found at "Say Yes to the Prom Dress Event" on Facebook or by calling Greene County Community Action at (518) 943-9205.

Donations can be made at the Pay It Forward Community Thrift Store, or here at the High School.

Student of the Month: Kristen Selner

The Cairo Durham Teacher Association (CDTA) each month in the High School nominates and votes for candidates for a Student of the Month Award. Teachers nominate and vote for a student who shows that they are dedicated to their studies, show good academic effort, demonstrate appropriate school behavior and participate in school and community activities for community service.

Each winner will receive a certificate and a $10 gift card (donated by the CDTA).

Mrs. Little (High School Art Teacher) presented Kristen Selner with a certificate for January Student of a Month award.
