Follow up to the December Study

In August 2013, the Board of Education requested a report examining the year-over-year cost difference of the grade level realignment plan.  This report, delivered in December, has been commonly called “the December Study.”  After reviewing the December Study, the Board requested a follow-up study to compare projected expense amounts for each expense category for fiscal year 2013-2014 to the actual expense amounts for fiscal year 2012-2013.  This projection report was delivered in January and discussed at the February 27 Board of Education meeting.

Health Insurance Reminder

If you do not have health insurance, you can call the Health Consortium at (518) 822-9600. A Navigator will help with your Marketplace application and can answer any questions you have about the process. Navigators are available throughout locations in Greene County and can even do a home visit if necessary.

The deadline for NY State of Health is March 31. It is ideal to apply by 3/15 as coverage would begin by 4/1. If your process is started before 3/31, you will avoid a penalty ($95) and coverage should begin by 5/1.
