Cairo-Durham CSD was awarded the status of a Google for Education Reference District. It is 1 of only 8 school districts in New York State (and 150 districts nationwide) to receive this recognition. This badge allows CDCSD to be recognized by peers as a leader in educational innovation. [Read more]
Did you know that about 85% of drivers are speeding when they pass Cairo-Durham Middle/High School? That is almost 9 out of every 10 vehicles! Despite this finding from a 2016 New York State Department of Transportation traffic study, the DOT denied the Cairo-Durham Central School District's request to install a traffic signal in front of the school on Route 145. Therefore, we are focusing on driver education and developing traffic safety campaigns to encourage safe and cautious driving. [Read more]
