Superintendent
Legislative Position Paper
Superintendents and staff from the Questar III and Capital Region BOCES region held their annual legislative meeting at the Empire State Plaza on February 12 to seek support from legislators on a variety of issues stemming from the governor's proposed budget and the state’s fiscal crisis.
Senator Neil Breslin, Assemblymen George Amedore, Ron Canestrari, Peter Lopez, John McEneny and Bob Reilly, and representatives of Governor Paterson and other legislative offices were among those who attended.
The legislative breakfast is sponsored by the Superintendents’ Legislative Committee for Questar III and Capital Region BOCES chaired by Watervliet Superintendent Paul Padalino and Cairo-Durham Superintendent Sally Sharkey. Padalino and Sharkey briefly discussed the superintendents’ six-page position paper.
