Ms. Gilmore’s third grade class took a ride through the solar system with Planetary Patty on Dec 21. Using video-conferencing technology Planetary Patty helped students take a tour through space stopping to visit each planet. Students learned about stars, gravity, comets, asteroids and the sun. On each planet students viewed pictures of its surface and learned about its color, size, location and other unique factors. While on some planets students were asked to use sunglasses and fans to protect themselves from the sun’s heat and rays.
