There are 2 July 4th parades that the marching band has been asked to participate in:

Time: Line up @ 6:30pm
Start: Cairo Elementary
End: Town Park

East Durham
Date: July 5th, 2008
Time: Line up @ 10:30
Start: Across from Furlong's
End: Irish Cultural Center

If anyone is able to help with large instruments and percussion equipment, please contact Mr Clermont ASAP.

On Friday, September 28th, in the Middle School Cafeteria, from 7:30 - 8:30 P.M., Cairo-Durham's School Resource Office, Trooper Jeff Boehm, will be here to host a Parent Forum on an important issue affecting our nation's youth..."The Choking Game". If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call the main office at 622-0490 extension 4311. All PARENTS are invited.

Attached is the sign up form for the 2007 Cairo-Durham Music Department Father's Day Golf Tournament at Blackhead Mtn. Give this form to a chorus or band member or call the pro shop. This tournament benefits the HS Music Department.

What: NYSSMA Solo/Ensemble Festival
Where: Central Valley Elementary School, Central Valley, NY

Directions: NYS Thruway South until Exit 16 – Rt 17/Harriman,
Stay to the right, up the ramp for “NY 32, Harriman, Central Valley”.
Going up the ramp, stay in center lane to cross intersection of Rt. 32
Go straight across at the traffic light onto Nininger Rd (Rt. 64)
