Please join us on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 7:00 P.M for "Meet the Candidates" night in the MS/HS Media Center. The candidates are as follows: Robert Criswell, Beth Daly, Carl Kohrs, and Sam Mozzillo.
Each Board of Education candidate will have the opportunity to speak and respond to written questions from the audience. The session will conclude with small group gatherings to meet individual candidates.

The forum is being hosted by the Participation in Government Classes.

Please find attached the 2012-2013 Cairo-Durham CSD Budget Document. The budget vote will be held on May 15th in the Middle School cafeteria from 12:00pm -9:00pm.

Willard (Brandon LaFever) is dispensing his mother's wisdom to Ren (Tim Coletti), because Ren is about to go in front of the town board to ask permission for dancing. Some of Willard's advice is--'don't hold your breath longer than an hour' and 'never eat anything bigger than your head'.

Cairo-Durham is proud to announce that high school business teacher, Heather Maassmann was selected as 98.5, "the Cat's," Teacher of the Month. In addition to teaching, Mrs. Maassmann coaches modified softball, jv and varsity cheerleading and is the Interact Club advisor. She was nominated by her students, Erika Gertsberger, Courtney Partridge, Brianna Calcavecchia and Brittany Rieseburg.

Students in grades 7-12, parents, educators and the community are invited to learn about exciting careers for the future at Career Expo 2012. Career Expo 2012, to be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 5-8 PM at Birch Hill in Castleton, NY, will focus on careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Questar III BOCES and Greenville, Ichabod Crane and Schodack Central School Districts will be hosting the Career Expo, along with the Center for Economic Growth.

Our 4th Annual Greene County Community Cancer Fundraiser, "Walking With Our Neighbors for Our Neighbors" 5K Walk/Run Event will be held on Saturday, May 12th 2012 in Catskill. Registration will begin @ 8 am at Dutchman's Landing; Walk/Run begins @ 9 am. Registration is $10 per participant. Cairo-Durham School has a team organized by Patricia Seymour, MS/HS nurse. Community service hours will be awarded to students who are in need of completing hours of service. Since 2009, we have raised more than $27,000.
